Practical matters: Keeping clear and consistent records

In kindergarten we used to sing a song that helped us learn the parts of the body. It went something like this: Heads and shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes…  I think you get the idea. Although our days in kindergarten are well behind us, a slight variation of that little song will come in handy when remembering the points to jot down after tasting a wine: Eyes and nose and palate too, palate too. Eyes and nose and palate too, palate too. Rate the weight and concentration too. What’s on the label jot down too, jot down too.
