Practical matters: Tasting blind

When playing wine guessing games with friends and guests try to level the playing field so that both novice as well as aficionado have a chance of winning. For example, when blind tasting a single wine provide your guests with a choice: “Is it Bordeaux or Burgundy?” Everyone who gets that right can go on to the next question such as “Is it Médoc or St. Emilion?” The next level of questions might be “Pauillac or Margaux?” then on to “Pre 2000 or post 1999?”
