Chilled to the Bone

Practical Matters: The Right Temperature

Summer should be knocking on our door right about now. But with temperatures still in the 60’s and skies looking more like winter than summer here, I wonder whether spring will ever step aside to let summer warm the cockles of my heart. Admittedly, spring may have used every stick in its box of Crayolas to color my garden but it certainly neglected to add a dab of perfume to each bloom. What good is this feast for the eyes if it doesn’t feed the other senses? The same holds true for wine. Over-chilling will put the kibosh on any aromatic potential a wine may have to offer.

About DeniZe

“Multitalent” doesn’t begin to describe the phenomenon that is DeniZe. A trained singer, conductor, actress and public speaker, DeniZe lived in Europe for an extended period before returning to her roots in the heart of Long Island’s burgeoning winegrowing region.
